I've wanted to capture these guys for a while. They feed off this Spanish sage outside my living room window. There are about 4 or 5 of them that come regularly. I never knew hummingbirds chirped until I heard these guys. they're pretty brazen too..will dive bomb you if you're interrupting their feeding time. Relaxing..but not..and over so soon.We drove down to Southern California Saturday..and came back Sunday night...crazy. Our original plan was one night in Santa Barbara...the wrong thing there being one night. OUr choices were two night minimum or close to $300 for a flea bag you wouldnt pay $80 during a regular weekend...so our reservations found us further south (the Valley is only another hour)
